Event History

2024

Inaugural Summit

WAES launched in Accra, Ghana (September 2024), bringing together African energy stakeholders and international supply chain partners for the first time with an exclusive focus on upstream execution.

2025

Aberdeen Edition

In November 2025, WAES was hosted in Aberdeen and connected Africa’s energy opportunities with Europe’s leading energy technology hub.

2026

London Edition

WAES is being hosted in London from 1 – 2 December 2026 under the theme “Transforming Africa’s Energy Supply Chain through Technology, Investment and Local Value Creation.” This edition features enhanced matchmaking, country showcase, structured procurement forums, and focused sessions on technology transfer, project financing, and local content implementation.
